Zink got into a stink and now is in the Clink

LOCATION: 55000 block of Santa Fe Trail, Yucca Valley, CA

SUSPECT: Ronnie Zink, 23 year old female, resident of Yucca Valley

VICTIMS: Melvin Porter, 46 year old, resident of Yucca Valley and Desiree Ramirez, 37 year old, resident of Yucca Valley

On Tuesday, August 1, 2017, deputies responded to the 55000 block of Santa Fe Trail for a report of stabbing. At the location, deputies contacted Melvin Porter and Desiree Ramirez. Deputies observed Porter was stabbed in his arm and Ramirez was stabbed in her hand, arm, chest and below her chin. Both victims were transported to the Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.

On August 10, 2017, through investigation, deputies determined the victims were stabbed by Ronnie Zink. Deputy Singh, of the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team (MET), obtained a warrant for Zink’s arrest and later served the warrant at her re sidence in the 7000 block of Cholla Avenue in Yucca Valley. Zink was arrested for her warrant and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, bail was set at $1,000,000.00.

MET is a specialized position within the Town of Yucca Valley’s Police Department. Deputies Singh and Herrera are currently assigned to this full time position. The primary focus of “Multiple Enforcement Team” is to provide solutions to law enforcement related issues that adversely affect the citizens who live, work and visit the Town of Yucca Valley.
