Yucca Valley Town Council Checkmated on Reefer Madness

The Town Council of Yucca Valley is not the final authority regarding MARIJUANA CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING IN YUCCA VALLEY.

Although local media this morning reports that the S.B. County Registrar of Voters has certified the  citizens’ petition to allow the commercial cultivation of marijuana in Yucca Valley, I cannot find it on the County Registrar’s website.

It looks like the county may have erroneously word-processed the year 2015 in the stead of 2017. This County Link.

A local radio station reported this news story this morning.

The town council will likely certify the petition at their next regular council meeting.

When it reaches the ballot box, if approved by Y.V. voters said voter’s petition would allow commercial cultivation and manufacturing of marijuana in certain zoning districts within town limits.

Eight months ago, Yucca Valley voters approved state Proposition 64, making the recreational use of marijuana by those 21 and older legal. Foreseeable, they will do the same when they vote on the YV commercial cultivation, manufacture and processing of marijuana (Grown for medical and recreational use).

    Checkmate indeed.
