Yucca Valley Resident Busted for Series of Burglaries

INCIDENT: Burglary Arrest

LOCATION: 2900 block of Star Lane, Yucca Valley

SUSPECT(S): Thomas Brown, 37-year-old resident of Yucca Valley

On Thursday, September 7, 2017, detectives from the Morongo Basin Station, were conducting a follow up investigation for multiple burglaries, which have occurred in the Yucca Valley area recently. Thomas Brown, a 37-year-old resident of Yucca Valley was identified as a suspect in the burglaries. Brown also had three active warrants for his arrest (PC 459-burglary, PC 273.5(A)-domestic violence, and HS 11377(A)-possession of a controlled substance). Brown was located by deputies in the 2900 block of Star Lane. Brown resisted arrest, and was taken into custody after a brief altercation with deputies. Brown was transported to High Desert Medical Center, with minor injuries. Brown was medically cleared and booked into Morongo Basin Jail for his warrants. The investigation related to the burglaries is ongoing.
