SAN FRANCISCO (Yahoo News) – YouTube said on Wednesday it would remove videos that deny the Holocaust, school shootings and other “well-documented violent events,” a major reversal in policy as it fights criticism that it provides a platform for hate speech and harassment.

The streaming service, owned by Alphabet Inc’s Google, also said it would remove videos that glorify Nazi ideology or promote groups that claim superiority to others to justify several forms of discrimination.

In addition, video creators that repeatedly brush up against YouTube’s hate speech policies, even without violating them, will be removed from…

Youtube and it’s Parent Company, Alphabet are #Bookburners They want to mould the past to shape the future. No difference than the Nazi’s of the 1930s.

Silencing the voices of opposition as did burning books, will lead to war and genocide.

    Fear for our children’s future.

Google’s (YouTube) decision to censor “videos” that deny the Holocaust, school shootings, violent events, and promotes Aryan supremacy on a privately owned corporate platform is a controversial call.

They also will not host videos on their platform that distort world events.

The Nazis fascists eventually had to be stopped after the Nazis disposed of millions of human beings. It all began with their propaganda of lies, hate, dehumanizing of millions of people and Nazi Aryan supremacy.

As we know free speech applies to government not the private sector. All platforms have Terms of Use. YouTube is blocking/censoring videos which incites and encourages hateful, Aryan supremacist content.

The threat is that these massive social media platforms are so powerful that they can and have distorted and manipulated content for an achieved by false means the goal to change what people read and, thus, the way they think.

The threat also comes from from white supremist, terrorists and foreign governments who misuse social media in order to spread propaganda, lies and manipulation for a evil purposes.

Your problem Branson…. Is you listen too much to CNN. Youtube is purging any and all Conservative content in the name of Hate Speech.

They are even purging History Professors who teach WWII as part of their content…. What Youtube is doing is burying History in the name of Hate.

If you do not like Conservative content providers… DON”T WATCH THEM. You have the ability to pass it by. By deplatforming them you make them even more relevant.

Its a battle for truth…. Sometime History isn’t all sugar tits and lollipops.

Youtube claimed itself as a place for free expression of ideas for years… Now it is just another sorry example of Far Left Wing political correctness.

Sorry Branson I am not going to let Jeff Bezos tell me what is correct political thought.

Dan, back in the 40s were “sugar tits” baby bottles filled with sugar water?

Adding a little sunshine to my personal view, speech is best not YouTube censorship.

But don’t you see an armed threat from extreme right white militant superemist and other neoNazi-like militants around the world?

I don’t see that from the extreme left.

FWIW, Amazon Will Pay $0 in Taxes on $11,2B in Profit for 2018. That is insane and unconscionable. What kind of an administration would do that?

My intake of news is four hours a day every day. Sometimes CNN catches my attention. Most often I read articles or view videos from more that 20 sources. I listen to commentary from professional and have an open mind on their take and knowledge on daily news events.

My main interest in today’s political mess is that the U.S. Constitution is under direct attack. These threats are as much as a threat as terrorists.

“Fascism is a form of government which is a type of one-party dictatorship. Fascists are against democracy. They work for a totalitarian one-party state. This aim is to prepare the nation for armed conflict, and to respond to economic difficulties.” Google.

I think we have one on those F living on Pennsylvania Ave.

“Speech that demeans on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground is hateful,” Alito adds, “but the proudest boast of our free speech jurisprudence is that we protect the freedom to express ‘the thought that we hate.’”

Justice Alito opined in the Majority Opinion 8-0 in Matal v. Tam 137 S. Ct. 1744 (2017)
