On Sunday, April 22, 2018 at approximately 12:30 p.m. both 40King3 and Air Rescue 307 were dispatched to assist CHP and S.B. County Fire with the search for an off-road traffic collision. Initially, the reporting party stated the vehicle rolled over, and the driver was injured. The unrestrained driver was found to have been ejected and had sustained severe injuries. The passenger, who was also unrestrained in the vehicle, was not ejected, but sustained moderate injuries. Air Medic Salcedo, immediately contacted the driver and provided medical aid, while Cpl. Scalise tended to the passenger.
