Deputies arrest a 17 year old for Attempted Armed Robbery of an AM/PM store

On Friday, June 23, 2017, at approximately 3:15 a.m., a 17-year-old male juvenile entered the AM/PM business, located at 58181 Twentynine Palms Highway, in the town of Yucca Valley. The juvenile was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black cloth covering his face. The juvenile brandished an imitation firearm and demanded money from the store clerk. When the clerk refused, the juvenile fled northbound from the store. Deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff Department, Morongo Basin Station, responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The investigation led deputies to the 6000 block of Camarilla Avenue in the town of Yucca Valley, where the juvenile was arrested. The juvenile was booked at the Central Juvenile Hall in San Bernardino for attempted robbery and a probation violation warrant.
